Just want to say that your work is some of the most well executed on this site. Your Wolseley four-door manages to look fresh, yet very "Mini". Everything is a feast for the eyes. Best, Marc

Hi Greg, Thanks for the note. In regards to sponsorship, companies only used to do that atuniversity level, perhaps for their final year projects, although given the finalncial crisis, I bet all those were cancelled. Your best best would be to write a note to the design director perhaps asking for feedback and tips on how to progress as a car designer. You also need to start to prepare for uni courses. Only then will you be in a position to look for sponsorship. I'm not saying it's impossible, but just evry difficult with a lot of very talented designers out there looking for jobs and placements. But good luck! You certainly have the right mindset for it and I can see talent in your work for sure. Don't stop!!!
Aurel, you are the king of renders...one day you have to show me how you do that. Bravo!
Now the technical bits...The sketch is from a nice angle, quite descriptive to show a good front 3/4. Be careful on the proportions of some of the elements, you could actually make the grill and bonnet scoop a bit smaller and incline volumes back a bit, particularly the headlights. Also watch the proportions on the wheels, but you're almost there! Fibally the arches...the front seems too small for the sive of the car and the rear seems a little fat...balance these two and you have a winner. The rendering technique is really nice and personal and you've considered depth and shade rather well. All in all, a great sketch...keep going! I've added a little sketch based on yours to show you how I would balance a few things, but by far it's up to you. That's design...your personal feeling towards whatever is in your head. All the best, D
Hi! As a former Mini Designer, I can TOTALLY agree with what you're doing! I have a few like this as well in my Folio..(I'll dig them out for you later)...OK, I like what you're doing with the front, making the grill more prominent is a good thing especially for communicating more power. Side vents as well (Engine exit cooling) is good and I like the fact that you've considered this within the panel before the door as in production, it cuts down on complication and cost. A small intake for brake cooling in front of the rear wheel is also a good idea, especially on a track car. Cut windows, roll cage, small downforce aids...all good. Your idea of moving the cab back a bit is also really nice and your sketch shows it well. Overall, a very nice execution with some great ideas.
