Thx for the compliment. Just started getting involved after joining 10 months ago. I'm amazed at the quality of work and I know the time involved for some of the entries. I'll probably start with the next comp. to get my feet wet. I admire the different techniques of presentation that those with trans./ID schooling are able to push out. I hope with time I can acquire those skills like you have. I can do some decent 3D cg (that I recently learned), but not quickly. I guess that comes with experience & learning shortcuts.

Enjoyed reading your Carolina description, as well as your bro's photos. In regards to the "team" approach to entries, can an entry have the characteristics of one team disguised within another - as in maybe the heart of a bootlegging muscle car (a la Shelby GT500 "Eleanor") wrapped in the body of a sleek ocean drive coupe (as in tropical culture/yacht inspired)?

hey man thanx a lot, i have 2 words for the minute man... FU.... Thank you John! Good to hear! My discovery of LM had rekindled many fires for me, and I'm enjoying it much. Believe it or not, I have considered that the powerplant would be a problem in that sketch- even though of labeling it a "low-mid-engined" concept, but I believe that that's a stretch. I am having enough fun with this sliced down the middle look to explore better possibilities for it though. Looking forward to exploring it over the holiday.

Whoa, 17167 is your freshest work yet. What was going on when you tackled these three forms. The are free and suggestive and full of meaning. Your Dash-to-Axle area still seems too bound up. Good rule of thumb is that it is almost impossible to package an engine and suspension when the top of the wheel is about the DLO/canopy beltline.

Hey you... yep- actually designing a lot of yachts! I am juggling exterior styling on 3 or 4 superyachts just this week. Back to the states this weekend for a bit, and glad of that. Super busy here. How you? Watchin the RF develop. Exciting times at LM! Miss you guys. I will be back. Cheers.
Robert- in response to your comment- I've minimized the intakes, as I was more playing with the simple elements of the body. You can see the vestigial intake in the sill just behind the door, directly under the B-pillar. I also pushed the beltline lower, to give more of a vintage feel to its proportion, and I sketched this after driving the new Lamborghini Gallardo SE, and its side visibility is terrible- the beltline has risen so far as to be a real problem, so this is one possible answer... as for the sketch, it was done between bites of lunch, while on break at the yacht design studio where I am an exterior designer, so its hardly a polish piece. Glad you at least like the wheels. Where do you work? Interesting yellow sketch there.

Hey Tristan- Cool to see you here. Hadn't seen all your new liveries for the racer or anything on Coroflot yet... Showed the Olympian to my boss the other day- he was impressed.
Just a new render, my brothers and sisters...
