LM Coronet
Named after the famed theater that was on Geary for decades, the LM Coronet is the top of the line in experience and luxury and space. With it's electric motor and battery pack giving it an 80 mile range for daily commute use and enough juice for a night out in the 7 mile square city of San Francisco. Parcking is made easy with compact design, and overhead parking cameras on the rear, front and even on the mirrors so as not to scratch your rims. Plenty of storage both in back and in front for gear and groceries. Sleek styling and handsome proportions make this shooting brake a must have for this city!
Thoughts...
Alxart, very solid entry. I love many elements from the two tone to the teardrop rear.
Design: Smooth and yet also punchy. I think that the form is speedy, though I am not a fan of the nose. I think that it is somewhat brutish with very small eyes. I do like the black/dark accents down the longitudinal surface and into the "eyes" but that alone does not make we "have to have" the vehicle, which is the most basic litmus. I do indeed love the roof, rear and greenhouse.
Buildability: Seems doable with some small amount of added complexity in the split tail.
Fit to the Brief: To a "t". I especially like the clarity of the package. People should look to that aspect as the standard.
In all this is a very solid entry. Not my favorite of yours, but good. I have read your thoughts on the voting, and I hear your frustration. We hear feel much the same way. On the other hand we are grateful for the number of votes that have been given here. It is still well above the level needed for statistical significance (depending on what kind of analysis you want to do.) I know that if all enter, then all should vote, but I can only surmise that the large number of entries has served to discourage some from voting at all. Good Luck.
here's the Coronet's new front cutting through the fog... a daily chore for any SF car, electric or not. :-P
This entry is definitely meets comp.guidelines. The shape is very very sexy and side view particularly, great job!
greenhouse is awesome , profile as well , but the front is kind of lifeless, great entry alxart and good luck
Thanks guys, I'm working on an updated front face, so stay tuned. I actually like the back end point, it's always that last bit that hits the hatch glass on my R32 that I wish the glass bulged out just a bit more, like a handlebar or a surfboard tip. As far as build-ability goes it all works in 3D space and fits exactly what the design specs we were given. I'll post more views soon.
A name from the past. I like the tight packaging of your design, but the aero crest roof though not the most storage efficient, gives it pananche! Have to agree with Nemo, the nose is a bit bland, but still a fine entry.
profile is hot but front 3/4 seems so much tamer than the rest. DLO in interesting, duck tail is intriguing, but may score low on buildability, but this has some presence to it for sure... great entry
